The festival is held with the exclusive co-operation of the Municipality of Balchik and under the patronage of the Mayor of Balchik Mr. Nikolay Angelov.

Nine choirs and more than 250 singers of different ages and nationalities have taken part in the first edition of the festival. They all competed to win the prize "Chernomorski zvutsi" and united in a creative team within the Choral Workshop.
This year’s theme of the workshop is "Contemporary Finnish music": author and conductor – Juha Holma.
The organisers of the choral event invite choirs of all types on its stage. They expect folk choirs and ensembles from Bulgaria and abroad, to join this year’s edition of the festival. They will take part in the festival programme, not in the choral competition. There will also be a workshop for these choirs, led by the conductor Katya Barulova. The participants will study the specific manner of vocalizing and ornaments according to the folk regions of Bulgaria.
